  • Land of the Arches Campground
    New climber-friendly full-facility campground located on KY 715, just south of the Cliffview entrance and one mile north of the intersection of KY 715 and KY 11. Nice facilities, outstanding bouldering/climbing cliff adjacent to the campground.

  • Eagle Ridge Cafe and General Store
    New climber-friendly restaurant, conveniently located between Muir Valley and the PMRP. Near the entrance to Cliffview and the intersection of KY 11 and KY 715. Six minutes from Muir Valley, fifteen minutes from the PMRP, and three minutes from Torrent Falls.

    Fantastic home-cooked meals and desserts, and a warm and friendly atmosphere.

  • Highlander's Loft
    Rustic country charm and spectacular cliff-top views of the Red River Gorge! The Highlander’s Loft log cabin is set up for 6 adults, has satellite TV, free wireless internet, a Jacuzzi and a gas fireplace. Rentals include bed linens, towels, toilet paper and paper towels.

    The cabin owners are rock climbers, climber-friendly, and avid supporters of Muir Valley. From the back door of the cabin, it is a short hike to the popular climbing crags of “Lady Slipper” and “Emerald City.”

    From Lexington, KY, take Interstate 64 East to the Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway, then 33 miles to the Slade exit. The cabin is about 4 miles south on KY11, just off Glencairn Road. Find it at mapquest, click red star on the map.
